Here’s a curated collection of elementary choir songs featuring new publications, new arrangements of older songs, and hidden gems that I think are worth your time.

The songs on this page are singable and teachable, with an emphasis on unison and easy 2-part arrangements. This curated list will hopefully let you spend less time searching and finding the perfect songs for your singers.

I do the time-consuming work of searching music publishing sites, choral organizations, composer websites, and other sources to find quality repertoire for young singers.

2026-2027 Elementary Choir Songs

Here are my latest picks for NEW music, new arrangements of familiar songs, and hidden gems I’ve discovered while searching for great repertoire for young singers. New additions (usually weekly) are listed with *.

  • Autumn Song by Pinkzebra A beautiful 2-part ballad that works perfectly for unison voices. Lyrical with a mix of 3/4 and 4/4. Listen to it here.
  • Blizzard Boogie by Cristi Cary Miller
Bouncy boogie piano about all things blizzard with body percussion section. Easy melody. See/Hear it here.
  • Chillin’ Like a Snowman by Cristi Cary Miller In a Jazz style, this novelty piece in 2 parts has a few challenging places but would add some pizzaz to a concert. Check it out.
  • Chin Up Arr. Emerson-This song, from the animated film, “Charlotte’s Web,” is easy to learn with repetition in both the text and melody. The optional vocal harmony also provides a simple introduction to 2-part singing. See it/Hear it
  • Christmas Is Coming by Lee Kesselman is the traditional English carol given some fun new verses about turkey legs and such. Unison with optional 2nd part and a lively piano accompaniment. Listen & Look
  • December Canon by Mark Burrows-“The wind is cold, the branches bare, but hearts are warm and bright.” This 2024 canon is medium easy with a beautiful melody and has a lovely accompaniment track. Look & Listen
  • Eency by Wayne Dauer  Fun story of Eency the spider not listening to his mom and getting washed down a drain. Upbeat and fun, the part writing features some echoing, doable countermelodies, and some parallel harmonies that could easily be skipped, staying on the unison. Listen & Look
  • Figgy Pudding! by Ruth Morris Gray From 2023 so not new, but worth showing you. In 2 parts with the second part as a partner song. The arrangement isn’t easy but easy enough for an elementary choir to learn it. Very cute! Check it out.
  • *Follow Us This Winter Morn by Earlene Rentz is upbeat and about new beginnings. I’d ditch the part II but do the short but easy descant at the very end. See It/Hear It
  • Give a Little Love at Christmas by Jill Gallina
This bright, bubbly song is a great opener/closer and gives a Brady Bunch vibe. Cute. See/Hear it here.
  • I Believe in You and Me by Kim Noller Upbeat with nice call and response technique. The song is about the idea that the best things in life are free and reminds us of the importance of love, sunshine, friendship and more. Listen & Look
  • I Choose Joy Upbeat unison arrangement about choosing joy no matter what happens in life. See it here.
  • I Love the Lights by Teresa Jennings (MK8) About the beautiful lights during holidays with an upbeat, pop-ish vibe. It would be a great glow, light routine choice. In 2 parts, I would just sing part 1 melody. Listen & Look.
  • I Sing a Song of the Mockingbird by Thomas Hemminger This arrangement starts and ends bright and bubbly with some mood changes midway. It has optional 2 part but can easily be sung in unison and has a lovely optional flute part. It’s about singing the mockingbird song when feeling different ways. Listen & Look
  • Joy! by Teresa Jennings Joy, peace, and love themes in 3/4. It’s a new offering in this year’s subscription on MK8, available also as a single with a variety of mp3 choices. Listen & Look.
  • Let’s Not Dilly Dally by Greg Gilpin Adorable novelty selection, it sings like a folk song and uses many colloquialisms for lyrics, like “let’s not dilly dally,” “the early bird catches the worm,” and more. The part writing is doable with a complementary style. Listen & Look
  • Like the Falling Snow by Bryan Sharpe Peaceful, dreamy melody in 2 part but easily done in unison. Only piano accompaniment so the mp3 is inexpensive. Check it out.
  • Music Alone Shall Live by Andrew Parr-The melody is comprised of three short phrases offering natural entrance points to sing the song as a round. Gorgeous with an added flute obligato. (English/German) See/Hear It!
  • O Come Little Children by Teresa Jennings VERY nice arrangement with a driving accompaniment track over the smooth melody. An optional easy recorder part & Orff arrangement. Listen & Look.
  • Over the River by Greg Gilpin A new melody of the familiar poem with an upbeat, syncopated arrangement. In 2 parts that can be pretty easily sung unison. Listen to it here.
  • A Perfect Winter Day by Pinkzebra Lyrical and lovely. The 2-part has some singing in thirds and countermelody-ish places. Listen & Look.
  • Queensland Kodaly FREE Choral music! From Astrid Jorgensen and the Queensland Kodaly Choir Legacy Project. Includes a practice mp3 and sheet music.
    • Seeds of Hope, Whether the Weather, To the Earth
  • Stellae Cantate! By Cristi Cary Miller Evoking the feeling of a night sky in winter, the melody and accompaniment have lots of forward motion with arpeggiated parts. The two part sections are complementary. It would work best with older voices (grade 4-8) because lots of phrases start on low A. Listen & Look
  • To Make a Song by Andy Beck A rock-infused beat and high-velocity harmonies drive this joyful celebration of music! In 2 parts but works in unison. Check it out.
  • We Are the Light by Andy Beck “In the dark of night, we are the light” – an inspiring concert theme for any time of year, at the holidays, year-end events, or general concerts. Check it out.
  • What a Song Can Do by Raphael Fusco This is an energetic song with a body percussion section that’s about music with lots to offer beginning and intermediate elementary choirs. You can sing the entire arrangement in unison but there are some easy countermelody areas for beginners. See it here.
  • What Is Wonder? by Andy Beck-A medium easy 2-part songs that encourages young people to explore nature and the world around them. The second part is doable, well-written in its complementary nature (both rhythmic and melodic) to the melody line. New for 2026. Listen & Look.
  • Whispers of the Wind by Cristi Cary Miller Text is about wind, a gentle breeze, etc. 6/8 meter in a minor key. It is lilting and lovely. It’s in 2 parts that use a lot of countermelody techniques and perfect for beginning 2-part harmony. Listen & Look.
  • Will You Light a Candle? by Katie Houts A gorgeous two part arrangement about peace. The second part is very easy. Check it out.
  • *A Winter Warning by Stacy Bedwell, published 2025, is a cumulative song  as animals warn each other about the coming winter. It’s upbeat, in minor, with lots of easy syncopation. I’d do this 2 parter in unison and add hand percussion for the different animals. See It/Hear It
  • With You by Andy Beck Kids will love the word play that celebrates friendship and playfully acknowledges that we’re better together. “If I were peanut butter, then jelly you would be…” The second part is a bit challenging for elementary groups so I would sing the melody line throughout. Listen & Look
